My passion for costumes started a long time ago. At elementary school, I was already in charge of organizing outfits for my friends to dance to Spice Girls, gluing and sewing at my school´s theater group, cutting mom's dresses to make “better” ones and digging up garbage containers to find old clothes to turn them into new ones.

I’m grateful that the way I saw the world helped me to find my profession and allows me to customize ideas of my own and of others, to bring worlds of fantasy or reproductions of real life situations.

To me, costumes aren't just about my own fantasies, but also an opportunity to make a collage of everything I've observed and my lived experience. Costumes depict a challenge to the power of selecting memories of the conscious and the subconscious. And of course to mix all that with other artists and great minds, because I believe it is not the work of one, but that of many working together that can make the magic happen!
